Player Opportunity Share Tracker
Target share, snap share, air yards share, and carries — trended over the last four weeks. The same usage signals the Start Score is built on, surfaced so you can check the math.

The opportunity share tracker is powered by weekly box-score data from nflverse, processed by the ETL after each game. Check back once the 2026 season kicks off.
How this works
What it shows. Each row shows a player's usage for the most recent week, plus a trend of those same values for the three prior weeks so you can see whether opportunity is rising, falling, or stable. The sort metric is highlighted in the table and drives the trend column.
Why these four metrics. Target share, snap share, air yards share, and carries are the primary volume signals in the Start Score's opportunity component — the heaviest term in the formula, because usage is the most stable week-to-week predictor of fantasy points. Showing them here makes the Start Score's inputs checkable rather than hidden.
Metrics by position. Not every metric is meaningful for every position — a QB's target share is not a useful fantasy metric, and a wide receiver's carries rarely matter. The table shows all four columns regardless of position; use the position filter and read the metrics that apply. Carries matter most for RBs; target and air yards share for WR/TE; snap share is broadly useful as a role-confirmation signal.
Usage ≠ production. A high target share in a low-volume offense or a poor game script can produce fewer points than a moderate share in a high-volume passing game. Pair this tool with the Start Score in-season for a complete picture that also accounts for efficiency, matchup, and availability.
Data provenance. All values are computed from nflverse (CC-BY 4.0) weekly box-score and snap-count data by the RankFantasy ETL. The ETL runs on a scheduled basis after each game week; the vintage label shows the most recent week processed.
