How this works

Two views. The By Team view shows the full depth chart for any team — every skill player organized by position (QB, RB, WR, TE), sorted by snap share. Use it to confirm who is getting on the field for a specific team and whether the role split has changed. The By Position view shows all players league-wide at the selected position, ranked by snap share — useful for finding high-floor options and waiver wire targets.

What snap share tells you. Snap share measures how often a player is on the field when their offense is on the field, expressed as a percentage of team offensive snaps. A player who is on the field for 85% of snaps has a defined role; a player at 30% is either part of a rotation or recovering from injury. It is the clearest single signal of whether a player has a real opportunity to produce — before accounting for targets or carries, they have to be on the field.

Trend column. The three prior weeks of snap share are shown alongside the most recent week, so a role change registers immediately. A player jumping from 40% to 80% snaps is a signal worth investigating; the trend column makes that visible without needing to click through game logs.

Snap share ≠ production. A receiver running 85% of snaps in a run-heavy scheme may produce less than one running 60% in a pass-heavy offense. Pair this with the Opportunity Share Tracker (which adds target share and carries) and the Weekly Matchup Explorer for a complete picture.

Data provenance. Snap counts are derived from nflverse (CC-BY 4.0) snap-count data processed by the RankFantasy ETL after each game week. The vintage label reflects the most recent week in the data.
