How the Streaming Finder works

Streaming Score aggregates each player's MLB Start Scores across all upcoming games in the 7-day window, then adds a bonus for volume. For SPs: Streaming Score = avg Start Score + (starts − 1) × 8. A pitcher with two starts averaging 60 scores 68, outranking a one-start pitcher averaging 65. For batters: Streaming Score = avg Start Score + (games − median) × 2.

The 2-start bonus for SPs is intentionally large. Two starts in a week is the primary streaming lever in fantasy baseball — it roughly doubles expected fantasy output. The ×8 bonus means a two-start SP with mediocre scores still outranks a one-start SP with strong scores, which matches how most experienced players approach streaming decisions.

Batter bonus is intentionally small. Batter game counts vary less week-to-week (most teams play 5–7 games). The ×2 bonus rewards a full schedule without burying quality signal under schedule noise.

Avg Score (the colored chip) shows the underlying average Start Score — the quality of the matchups, independent of volume. A player with a strong Avg Score and many games is the ideal streaming target. Use the Avg Score to distinguish a 2-start SP with easy matchups from one with two tough matchups.

This tool does not know your roster. All active players with upcoming scores appear — check availability in your specific platform before adding. "Streaming" refers to the time horizon (week-by-week adds), not roster availability.
